Description:
The Brake and Lamp Program introduces the principles of automotive braking systems, along with electrical and lamp principals. This program is designed to help students develop or increase their knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform inspections, adjustments, repairs and certifying the brake and lamp systems on vehicles requiring a Brake and Lamp Inspection by the DMV.
What you’ll learn in this course:
This program is designed to give you the knowledge on brake system components, problem-solving procedures, tools, repair procedures, laws and regulations pertaining to California. These skills will be used on our laboratory vehicles which will be modified to test students’ abilities to properly test, inspect, adjust, repair, and certify the braking systems on vehicles under 10,000 pounds gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR), trailers without air brakes, and motorcycles. (Class C Adjuster Certification)

This Program also covers the knowledge on brake system components, problem-solving procedures, tools, repair procedures, laws and regulations pertaining to California. These skills will be used on our laboratory vehicles which will be modified to test students’ abilities to properly test, inspect, adjust, repair, and certify the lighting systems on all vehicles, including motorcycles. (Class A Adjuster Certification)
