Which Update Do I Need?

If you are a Smog Check Inspector with ONLY EO License you are required to take a 4-hour online class conducted by The Bureau of Automotive Repair. If you DON’T have access to the internet you can complete your training at Master Automotive Training for FREE at our student center. Call to schedule time at 909-539-0114

If you are a Smog Check Repair Technician with an EI license you are required to complete 16 hours of Update Training at a B.A.R. certified school, just like us, on subjects that have been approved by the B.A.R., just like ours!

• Lab Scope Basics
• OBD II EVAP Emission Systems
• Using a DSO to Diagnosis Sensors & Actuators
• Disciplined Emission Diagnosis

 

Unlike the traditional schools were technicians have to pay a hefty fee every 2 years to take one, 16-hour update training, WE HAVE A SOLUTION!

With our Platinum Update Membership technicians can pay a low monthly fee to guarantee them a one night, 4-hour update every 5 months, to make sure you learn multiple subjects over 2 years instead of just one subject every 2 years! Plus, every 4.5 to 5 years you have access to our full 92 hours ASE Alternatives Training, now known as the B.A.R. Specified Diagnostics Training.

If you have your ASE A-6, A-8 & L-1 and only need your 16-hour update every 2 years, we got you covered too! With our Basic Update Membership, you can take a one night, 4-hour update training every 5 months to make sure you learn multiple subjects over 2 years instead of just one subject every 2 years!
